d&b audiotechnik has lifted the lid on its first set of amplifiers specially intended for fixed installations.Sharing the same DSP platform and capabilities as the D20 and D80 touring amplifiers,the two 4-channel models-the 10D and 30D-offer 700W and 1,600W of power per-channel respectively. Crucially, specific configurations and functions have been tailored towards d&b products，such as loudspeaker management and switchable filter functions.
 

Both of the 2U amplifiers incorporate two 16-band equalisers, with parametric,notch,asymmetric and shelving filters.DSP capabilities  will reportedly be expanded via future firmware updates. To aid integration into existing installations,the amplifiers offer five programmable general purpose I/O pins,allowing external devices to be used for control or detection functions.

Four analogue and four digital AES/EBU inputs are present,all of which can be summed and routed to any of the four outputs,allowing all eight inputs,allowing all eight inputs to be used simultaneously.Each input features an independent input gain,which different levels can be used without requiring an external mixing device.System status monitoring ensures suitability for sound reinforcement systems for emergency situations.

The 10D amplifier is intended for small applications with lower SPL requirements such as bars,lounges and conference facilities.It features setups for all of the manufacturer’s loudspeakers expect the J-Series line array,the V-Series and the M2 monitor. The more powerful 30D contains configurations for all d&b loudspeakers and is designed for medium to large applications with higher SPL requirements.

Access to the units can be achieved using either CAN-Bus or via Ethernet using Open Control Architecture(OCA) protocols,and remote control is via the d&b R1 remote control software. AmpPresets enable users to change predefined levels or configuration settings of devices.Alternatively, the 10D and 30D can controlled using a browser window.
