Located in Taiwan Kaohsiung City at Dashu District, The Buddha Memorial Center, which is affiliated with Fo Guang Shan, one of the Taiwan’s largest Buddhist organizations. Covering more than 100 hectares, the Buddha Memorial Center faces east and is built along a central axial line. It consists of a Welcoming hall, eight Chinese-styled pagodas that stand for the Noble Eightfold Path, photo terrace, Bodhi square, Memorial hall, four stupas that symbolize the four noble truths and the Fo Guang Buddha.

Master Miao Zhi explained how he chose d&b audiotechnik, "the Buddha Memorial Center is a three-story building and the ground multifunctional hall, Grand Enlightenment Auditorium, covered around 660 square meters. As there is a serious reverb time problem, we need to install sound-absorbing materials so as to reduce the reverb time. It is distressed for us to choose the audio system. Furthermore, it is not an easy task for us to find a system that can meet our requirements - as we need to launch a wide variety of activities and events such as seminars, conferences or concerts in the hall. Indeed, masters from Fu Guang Shan had experienced different systems’ demonstrations before choosing d&b. Fortunately, d&b did not let them down – The entire system was designed by d&b China Alex Poon and the main task of d&b China is to guarantee that the system could meet the high speech transmission index (STI). Topsound Co., Ltd. was responsible for installing the system. Furthermore, the technical director from d&b China, Chiwai Chan, supported in doing the final tuning.
