On February 2, 2021, in the spirit of the New Year, Yamaha, together with Sound Works, kicked off the year with its first technical exchange event at the Guangdong Association of Recording Engineers Training Center. The event aimed to seize the opportunity to discuss the future development trends of professional audio with the sixty industry experts and professionals in attendance.

This event was hosted by Yamaha Musical Instruments & Sound (China) Investment Co., Ltd. in collaboration with Sound Works, and co-organized by the Guangdong Association of Recording Engineers. The primary products introduced and demonstrated were Yamaha's latest RIVAGE PM5 and PM3 digital mixing systems.

The meeting commenced with an opening address by Mr. Li Guangzhou, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Guangdong Association of Recording Engineers. Following his speech, Mr. Chen Hao, Technical Director of the PA Sales Department at Yamaha Musical Instruments & Sound (China) Investment Co., Ltd., took the stage to deliver an in-depth technical analysis of the RIVAGE series, to which the PM5 and PM3 digital consoles belong.

The YAMAHA RIVAGE PM Series introduces a new control interface engineered for exceptionally smooth and intuitive operation. The reduced depth of the surface allows operators to work in a more relaxed and comfortable position, while also improving sight lines to both displays and controls. With each fader positioned directly beside its level meter, the console delivers precise tracking and outstanding visibility for effortless, fine-grained adjustments.

It comes as no surprise that such exceptional technology and products have already garnered significant attention and been put into use. The event concluded with the unveiling ceremony of the "Sound Works Education and Training Base" at the Guangdong Association of Recording Engineers Training Center. The Guangdong Association of Recording Engineers (GDARE) was established on November 30, 2006, evolving from the former Guangdong Liaison Office of the China Association of Recording Engineers. Operating under the guidance of the Provincial Radio and Television Bureau (Department), the original liaison office played a significant role in enhancing the recording quality of broadcasting, television, and audio-visual projects in Guangdong Province. The number of award-winning recording programs submitted by the office for national evaluations consistently ranked among the highest in the country, earning repeated commendations from the China Association of Recording Engineers.

This collaboration between GDARE and Sound Works to establish the "Sound Works Education and Training Base" at the GDARE Training Center aims to fully integrate resources, strengthen technical exchange within the industry, and promote the internationally renowned brand products and advanced audio technologies represented by Sound Works.
