To this end, Jiangsu Television specially built a new studio for the show and collaborated with Sound Works to introduce a top-tier audio system—featuring Yamaha digital mixing consoles, d&b audiotechnik speakers, and Shure wireless microphones—delivering a perfect audio solution for its spectacular production.

First, Mr. Shen Jinsong from Jiangsu Television stated: "Jiangsu Television's 'You Are the One' was the first program in China to adopt the Yamaha Mixer + MY16-DUGAN system. Back in 2012, the director strongly hoped to enable the 24 female participants on stage to speak freely, allowing for more spontaneous interactions in the show. However, this posed a significant challenge for the audio team. As 'You Are the One' is primarily a discussion-based program where 24 female guests use 24 podium microphones for unscripted conversations, having all 24 microphones open simultaneously would lead to uncontrollable feedback. After obtaining the MY16-DUGAN cards, they immediately conducted tests, and the recording the very next day proceeded exceptionally smoothly, fully meeting the director's requirements. Today, they have become loyal clients of Yamaha Mixers and the Dugan Auto Mixer. For the recent upgrade of 'You Are the One,' Jiangsu Television also specially renovated a new studio. In selecting the new audio equipment system, we chose the RIVAGE PM7 digital mixing console with built-in Dugan automatic mixing functionality."

Therefore, for this system upgrade project, Sound Works has specifically deployed one flagship RIVAGE PM7 digital console, one QL5 digital console, and Rio series I/O interface boxes. The two consoles operate in a primary-backup configuration and are connected to the shared I/O boxes via redundant Dante networks. The RIVAGE PM7 console is equipped with a touchscreen and Selected Channel functionality. Through its improved sightlines, it allows the engineer to broadly and comprehensively monitor stage activity, thereby establishing a closer connection with the guests. This enables precise capture of the performance audio without coloration, which can then be creatively processed as needed.

Furthermore, the most notable features of this system include: both primary and backup consoles are equipped with at least 32-channel DUGAN auto-mixing capability and share I/O interface boxes, while the system utilizes a streamlined and clear redundant Dante network transmission setup. Additionally, after updating the RIVAGE PM7 console to firmware version V4.12, its processing capacity reaches 144 mono audio input channels, 60 mix buses, 36 matrix outputs, 64-channel DUGAN auto-mixing, along with other newly released features for the PM series.

The primary focus of the live sound reinforcement system is vocal clarity. During the Q&A sessions between male and female guests, the entire audience must clearly hear not only the host but also the dynamic range of the music. Additionally, for capturing the live atmosphere, the system is designed to pick up not only audience applause but also sounds from guest performances, such as live instruments and singing. To meet these demands, Shure's Axient Digital wireless microphone system has been deployed on-site, utilizing the WBH53 omnidirectional condenser headset microphones.
