Fireworks bloomed in the night sky of the Year of the Tiger as the long-awaited 2022 Hunan TV Lantern Festival Gala commenced on February 15. Produced by Hunan Television, the gala was hosted by He Jiong, Shen Mengchen, Liang Tian, Liu Ye, Jin Mengjia, and Qi Sijun. Under the theme "Roaring with Laughter for the Lantern Festival," the celebration captured the spirit of national joy in an atmosphere of prosperity and shared happiness. Through witty dialogues reflecting social trends, heartfelt laughter expressing people's sentiments, and unrestrained joy embodying the festive spirit, the gala infused the Year of the Tiger with vibrant energy through youthful smiles, renewed optimism, and heartfelt happiness. For this gala, the Yamaha RIVAGE PM10 digital audio console from Sound Works served as the main system for both Front-of-House and monitor mixing. The setup featured one CS-R10 control surface, two DSP-RX-EX processing engines, and two RPio622 interface boxes, configured as a single-control-surface system with dual DSP engine redundancy. This configuration delivered 200 input/output channels, with each DSP-RX-EX engine supporting up to 288 input channels, 72 mix buses, and 36 matrix buses. The redundant DSP setup provided crucial operational security for the live performance.

The on-site mixing team praised the audio quality of the RIVAGE PM series, while its intuitive "Selected Channel" concept significantly enhanced operational efficiency. The console maintained Yamaha's signature workflow fluidity and rock-solid stability, with its extensive built-in plugin library offering expanded creative possibilities for audio engineers.
